An immediate reaction of course, but clearly there are some giants left. For example, Manoel de Oliviera (BELLE TOUSJOURS), Jacques Rivette, Aleksandr Sokurov, Bela Tarr, the list goes on and on. Nevertheless, this is a mjor loss for world cinema.
