Astonishing news! Cartier-Bresson used the speed and convenience of 35mm to create a spontaneous, intimate photography never possible with sheet film. Capa took that style into combat, and used it as a powerful condemnation of war and violence. Discovery of this archive might finally give Gerda Taro the recognition she deserves as well. Let’s hope the ICP publishes an enormous book of contact sheets! Thanks so much for posting the link.
