Northwest Film Forum Program Director, Adam Sekuler is currently negotiating to screen in Seattle, the complete, brand new, 35mm print of Berlin Alexanderplatz. This will be one of the most expensive (read risky) series NWFF has ever shouldered.
We know that many in our audience are fanatisch Fassbinder fans and many of you are world travelers. Because we can count on these two things, Northwest Film Forum requests you to send us any Euro that you are still hanging on to from you last trip to Europe. These donated Euro will go into a fund to help pay the film rental for the 16 episode series. As of today’s currency exchange rates, our cost for Berlin Alexanderplatz, not including shipping, will be around $500 per hour.
