Development Intern
Northwest Film Forum seeks a Development Intern to work with the Executive Director and Development Associate. Applicants must have a strong interest in learning about nonprofit fundraising and sponsorship development. Prior experience working with an arts nonprofit a plus.  Interest in pursuing sponsorship and relationships in support of our annual Children’s Film Festival Seattle also a plus.

We are looking for someone who believes in the mission of the Film Forum, who is willing to research sponsorships for the organization, coordinating with the development associate and/or executive director on a weekly basis. The person who is offered this volunteer position is well organized, able to work independently, has an approachable and outgoing telephone and in-person manner, has experience working as a team in a busy office, and is willing to think creatively about finding opportunities for Seattle businesses to support an dynamic and always evolving film arts organization.

Time commitment: 12-20 hours per week (schedule is flexible, but hours must be during regular hours, 9-5, M-F, at organization’s offices in Seattle)

Children’s Film Festival Seattle Internship
Want to show off your organization skills and participate in a truly joyous film event? Interns are now being sought for Children’s Film Festival Seattle, which will take place at Northwest Film Forum January 28 through Feb. 6 at Northwest Film Forum, with additional screenings for school groups through Feb. 25. After the festival, many programs go on tour to other prestigious U.S. venues. The festival includes more than 100 films made by acclaimed filmmakers from 25 countries. Duties include organizing special programs, welcoming festival guests, coordinating the children’s jury and compiling touring programs. Final cut pro experience a plus.
