Michael Seiwerath Wins George Bailey Award

This just in from the guys at the Grand Illusion Cinema!  Celebrate at their annual Holiday Party on December 16.

The Grand Illusion Cinema is proud to announce that this year’s George Bailey Award will be presented to Michael Seiwerath.

During his lengthy tenure with The Northwest Film Forum Michael Seiwerath has done more for film in Seattle than most people and it is high time for him to be recognized for all of his hard work and passion for cinema.

The Northwest Film Forum grew from the roots laid down by the 1996 purchase and renovation of our beloved art-house movie theater, The Grand Illusion Cinema. The organizations now operate as separate entities and Michael has moved on from The NWFF but both film arts organizations continue to be influenced by Michael’s contributions.

Michael’s legacy will now come full circle with the presentation of an award he helped create from a cinema that would not exist without his past efforts and achievements.

Congratulations Michael!
