You read our blog, why not help us manage it?


The Film Forum is looking for someone to help manage two of our most important online tools, our blog ( and our callboard, a Google list serve for the filmmaking community. Time commitment is approximately 1-4 hours/week (unless working on a special improvement project).

This position is ideal for someone looking to improve their knowledge of and comfort with this kind of online presence. A basic understanding of HTML and blogging is helpful, and a strong desire to learn is a must. The best candidate would be someone who has regular access to the internet and can be in frequent contact with the Film Forum staff (this position does not require any regular office hours, and can be done remotely). We are seeking someone who can make a commitment of at least 1 year.

The blog coordinator is responsible for maintaining the blog and making sure all posts made by staff appear properly when live. The coordinator will keep up to date with any relevant changes in blogging best practices, and make adjustments as needed. (Qualified candidates can help us in our pending switch to as a host.)

The callboard manager acts as a moderater for all posts to this community bulletin board, and makes sure all submissions fit our requirements. He/she communicates with callboard members professional and in a timely matter if a posting is not suitable.

Job perks include being able to apply $5 for each hour volunteered toward the taking of free Northwest Film Forum workshops and equipment rentals OR the ability to attend free movies at the Film Forum.
