The 12-member Children’s Jury of Children’s Film Festival Seattle has
spoken! After watching more than 40 films in competition, the jurors
announced the following prizes at the Closing Ceremony of the festival
held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 6.

Best Feature Film:
The Ugly Duckling, directed by Garri Bardin, Russia

Best Animated Short Film:
Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp, USA

Best Live Action Short:
The Auction, directed by Gloria Ui Young Kim, Canada

Global Zoom Prize for the film that most promotes intercultural
understanding:
What Makes Me Happy — Angelina’s Story, South Sudan, directed by Annie
Gibbs, UK/South Sudan.

The Northwest Prize:
Friends, Friends, Friends, directed by Barbara O’Halloran, USA/Seattle

Another prize was also announced — the most popular film of the
festival, selected by audience vote throughout the course of the
festival. The film that won the prize was:

Audience Favorite:
Lost and Found, directed by Philip Hunt, UK
